I don’t want to have to be the one to point out that you can’t send your niece to school with no food.
Have you met kids?
They eat a lot.
I’m trying really hard not to get involved, trying not to let her sweet little voice sway me into calling you and telling you that I don’t like how you’re handling things.
But it’s really hard.
Because dammit, she’s a good kid and I can’t sit back and let you send her to school with no socks on for a single second longer.
Seriously. No socks?
And if you turn your back on me when I’m talking to you one more time…
Dammit.
I can’t get involved with people like you.
Not when I’m hiding my own demons.
God, if he found out that my eyes watch you leave my classroom every day and I wonder how it would feel to be beneath you…
No.
I can’t.
I won’t.
He’d kill me.
He would bury me six feet under, and I know it.
But you’re making it really hard for me when I’m constantly having to chase you.

Just finished Fury by @bellajewelbooks it's a dark sort of romance novel. I'd check the Tigger warning ⚠️ before reading as there are seens of kidnapping and Domestic violence. This book shines a light on how difficult it really is to leave a DV relationship.Now for the review: Alexis is stuck in a loveless marriage and is a victim of DV she wants to leave but she's stuck. Her husband who is a slime ball has information on her that could get her in trouble if used. Alexis is a teacher of Littles and she loves her job. When a new student Hope arrives Alexis has her work cut out for her. Read the trigger warning before reading this book for Domestic Violence and Miscarriage. I enjoyed this book Alexis relationship with Hope was so heartwarming. Poor Alexis she is doing her best to survive such a vile man. I would have given him a little shove off a cliff if I had the chance. Fury presents himself as such a jerk, however he has the best intentions for both Hope and Alexis. I enjoyed the characters in this book both main and supporting. When Fury and Alexis have to engage with each other it was both funny and steamy. You could feel Alexi’s struggle and anxiety on the page when she interacted with her husband. Great book would recommend.

This is my first book by this author and I was able to find my feet quickly and fall into this story. Although I’m sure there are connections to earlier books and more details about the couples from the previous books, I was able to follow all the dynamics that I needed to know and even though this was my first meeting with Fury aka Ford, I had enough hints at his introduction and role in the other books that I was able to understand how he fit with Alexis and see how she brought out not just his protective side but also his caring side. Hope, Fury’s niece, was a wonderful way of bringing the two together and showing that these two, even despite their differences, always had her best interests at heart.

A WORD OF CAUTION: Please read the trigger warnings because this is a Dark Romance that presents Domestic Abuse and Miscarrage head on and at times the reality of it strikes hard and deep.

After being betrayed by her best friend Alexis is stuck in an abusive marriage with no way out.
Her only solace is her job as a first grade teacher.
When a new girl, Hope, starts in Alexis class she has no idea that this starts a series of events that will change everything.

Ford/Fury is vice president of the Prisoners of Purgatory Motorcycle Club and has just become guardian to his niece Hope. He’s never had to look after a child before and is struggling. When Hopes teacher demands he meet Hope needs he has other ideas and forces her to help, whether she wants to or not.

I’m new to Bella Jewel and this series. I am sure it would have been better to have read the other books in this series but Fury can be read as a stand alone without missing out on vital information.

I really enjoyed reading Fury as i love when a nice girl knocks an alpha to his knees and he can’t help but fall.
Alexis and Fury butt heads over everything but this is just what Alexis needs in a strange way as she’s able to vent her anger from her marriage on Fury as an outlet and Fury seems to like getting Alexis all worked up.
From the outside you wouldn’t think a teacher and a member of a motorcycle club make sense but these two were just meant for each other.

Let me begin by clarifying: I love this series. I am not a fan of Fury. While I have devored almost every book by this talented author, I kept waiting for Fury’s redemption. I didn’t find it. His relationship with Alexis was not believable to me as a man in love. I did admire the h and her strength. I also enjoyed the characters from past books in the series.

Book five in Bella Jewel’s Prisoners of Purgatory series brings readers the story of Alexis and Fury (Ford). Each books follows a different couple and can be read as a stand-alone.

When school teacher Alexis get a new student in her class who turns up with no lunch, or socks on, she requests a meeting with their guardian. That’s when she first meets Fury, who’s recently been taking care of Hope, the shy new student Alexis has quickly grown fond of. Spark fly between the pair but Alexis is married, and she’s harbouring secrets, secrets that could get her killed. It doesn’t take long for Fury to worm his way under Alexis’s skin, and vice versa, he quickly becomes protective over her, but nothing goes further than a kiss between them which Alexis feels guilty over.

It’s isn’t until one night when things come to a head that things change for Alexis and Fury, secrets are revealed that have Fury promising he’ll do everything in his power to protect Alexis. But what happens when bigger forces than Alexis’s husband and their secrets come into play? Trust me when I tell you, you’re going to want to read this book in order to find out.

A great storyline with some amazing characters go towards making this a fantastic addition to the series, one you don’t want to miss.

I love bellas work and all the books in this series but I think this is honestly my favourite!
At first Alexis comes across as weak , even though she's not with everything she's going through, but she soon comes to her own and shows she's not going to be messed with anymore!
Fury he brings out the real Alexis , he's every woman's dream come true.
